It’s Jeff Gardner again.

It’s FRIDAY!

And I’ve got a cool free PDF report from my new friends, Justin and Chaunna Brooke, that I’d like to give you to CELEBRATE!

But before I do…

Did I ever tell you the story of my $25,000 domain name?

It was a few years ago, after a good friend of mine sold one of his short domain names to Amazon.

He was bound by a confidentiality agreement NOT to say how much he sold it for, but he hinted that it was $500,000 or more.

So, dollar signs in my eyes, I decided to “invest” in some of my own domain names.

I found that a lot of the best domain names were already taken, so I found an online service that searched “EXPIRED” domain names.

These were domain names that either HAD expired in the last few weeks or were soon to expire.

I searched their database and found quite a few good quality domain names that people had registered at one time, but had let expire.

Now, I honestly didn’t have a really great plan for cashing in on my new batch of domain names.

I know some people make “Domain Reselling” their full-time job, but I was so busy making money selling books, courses, and infoproducts, I didn’t have much time to actively promote these domains.

However, I did have ONE that I thought might sell well.

Now, I’m bound by confidentiality agreements NOT to tell you what the domain actually is. But I can tell you how I sold it and how much I made.

Here’s what happened:

Because I thought this domain might have some value, I put it up for auction on eBay.

Immediately, I started getting bids.

$100.

$200.

$500.

$1,000.

Over the coming week, the bids kept getting higher and higher.

$2,000.

$4,000.

$5,000.

$7,000.

$10,000

Then, a day before the auction was to close, the bids slowed to a creep - then stopped altogether at $15,000.

I thought it would close out at $15,000, but just moments before the auction was to end, one investor jumped in - and won the auction with a bid of $25,000!

Within one week, I had $25,000 wired to my bank account - and I transferred the domain to the new owner.

Pretty cool. I originally paid $9 for the domain name… and turned around and sold it for $25,000.

What is that? A 277,777% return???

Not too shabby.

I was reminded of this story recently, because I met someone at a seminar that is doing something very, very similar.

His name is Justin Brooke.

Justin and his wife, Chaunna run a Training Program called Site Flip Academy.

Long story short, they show people how to buy dirt-cheap websites on the Internet…

And then turn around and sell them for much, much more than they paid.

It’s called “Website Flipping”.

Kind of like buying a house, rehabbing it, and re-selling it.

But instead of “Flip this House”, the TV show would be called…

“Flip this Website”

I love this business model, because you’re taking something digital - a website - buying it for a low price, then doing some cool stuff to it, and then re-selling it.

Or, you can create a website from scratch (using super-easy software) - and sell this new site for $100’s or $1,000’s. It’s like creating money out of thin air.

Does “website flipping” really work?

You bet.

In fact, Justin and Chaunna showed me proof that they flipped just ONE WEBSITE last Summer for $15,000!

And they flip a lot of websites that pay them $100’s or $1,000’s per site.

Pretty slick!

Hey Sheila. I completely understand. There are a lot of rip-offs and scams out there. Let me tell you why: Whether we like it or not, many people want to “get rich quick”. They want to become “instant bazillionaires” with no work or effort. Well, since so many people want the dream of “overnight millions”, some scam artists jump in to take advantage of these people. They sell opportunities that promise “money for nothing”. The scam artists are selling to a market that is all too happy to buy into the promise of “no-work riches”

My advice is: Stay away from any opportunity that says you can become a gazillionaire by eating Cheetoh’s while watching reruns of Gilligan’s Island. It’s not going to happen. Look for a home-business you can actually work on. If you look for a business that takes an investment of time, money, and energy - you’re more likely to find something that will really work - and less likely to get scammed.

Sy, a lot of people are looking for the “Holy Grail” when it comes to running a home-based business.

But here’s the secret:

There is NO “Holy Grail”.

There’s just a system for starting and running a business.

For example, in the information marketing field, you create or find a product to sell, market your products, build a list, develop more products, etc., etc., etc.

It is more involved than that, but that’s the basic system. No magic, no “hocus pocus”. Just a proven system that’s worked for decades, online and off.

In fact, I’m one of the few guru’s who want people to know the truth:

It WILL take time, money, effort, and energy to start and build a business.

It ain’t magic. :0)

Of course, that turns off anyone and everyone who is looking for the (impossible) “magic money-maker” - or those people who want to “get rich” doing nothing, but that’s okay.
